Following on from correspondence with residents and Crest Nicholson, progress is being made again on the landscaping in Colwell Green.

Thomas Ashby in Colwell Green
There have been concerns raised around the number of trees that have died, lack of trees along the Downs Road (which will act as screening in years to come), path maintenance and broken play equipment.
I have been in contact with West Oxfordshire District Councils Planning Department who are well aware of the landscaping issues. They have been in close contact with the management company, as have I, and this week we are seeing some progress.
Trees are being replaced, grass is being topsoiled and re-seeded, some of the paths have been fixed and new trees are planned to be planted along the Downs Road in the coming weeks.
New Vehicle Activated Sign on Downs Road
As well as the improvements to the landscaping on Colwell Green, I have been working closely with Curbridge Parish Council for the installation of a new Vehicle Activated Speed Sign, along the Downs Road.
This is being installed to act as an informative tool to show people the speed they are travelling, and a reminder that the speed limit is only 30mph along the road.
Once this is installed, I hope to see fewer speeders making the road safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
VOTE FOR THOMAS ASHBY ON THURSDAY 1ST MAY
I am the your only truly local candidate standing in these local elections. I am the only one who has been to all the Parish Council Meetings in the last two months, and I am the only one who is really dedicated to standing up for our towns and villages.
I want to bring a local, common sense approach to decision making in local government - something I believe I have already demonstrated in these last two months working closely with the Parish Councils.
If you want a truly local, hard working councillor on Oxfordshire County Council, then it's vital to vote Thomas Ashby on Thursday 1st May.
