After months of speculation around when planning applications will be submitted for the shops, cafe, sports pavilion and houses on Windrush Place - Vistry Homes have formally sent their planning documents to West Oxfordshire District Council.

On 7th March, Witney Town Council's Planning Committee met with the Vistry Group to learn about the plans in more detail. After the meeting, I sent all of the comments that you, as residents sent me via email - these comments have led to the developers planning a larger community space within the new pavilion - so THANK YOU for all of your comments - TOGETHER we have made a big difference to community space in Windrush Place.

At the bottom of this page, you will see the plans in detail, these were sent to me this evening (20/04/23) and I thought it was sensible to inform you as soon as possible.

I am obviously disappointed that homes are planned for what was once the secondary school site. I will push for the retail, cafe and sports pavilion to be constructed prior to any housing. Obviously, none of this is guaranteed, however, like we have done so many times, as a collective voice, we will do our best to ensure the best for our area.

PLANS BELOW:

Over the last FOUR Years I have done my best to keep you informed and push the developers for these services, so I am pleased to see that positive progress is being made.

LET'S KEEP GOING

To ensure that I can see this construction through and in order to continue to hold developers and GreenSquare accountable, I hope I can count on your support at the Local Elections on Thursday 4th May,
