On Thursday 4th May 2023 you have the opportunity to vote for a strong team that will deliver and listen to you all year round, here in West Witney.

Thomas Ashby - West Oxfordshire District Council & Witney Town Council Candidate
"I have been a Town Councillor in West Witney for 4 years and in those 4 years I have seen Town Council funds fall and fall, year after year. I don't think it is right that during years of international crisis, your Council Tax has risen to fund an increased workforce and vanity projects."
Jane Doughty - Witney Town Council Candidate
"4 years ago I did not stand for the Town Council because I knew I would be leaving it in a healthy financial position. Since then, money has been spent left, right and centre. I think it's about time that the Town Council once again focus on the basics and invest in delivering stronger sporting facilities across our town."
Geoff Doughty - Witney Town Council Candidate
"When I opened my Council Tax letter this year explaining how my money is spent, I was shocked. Did you know more of our money goes to Witney Town Council than the District? How can this be right when the District deliver more services? It's time for the Town Council to go back to basics and return to lower taxation and better services, so that YOU have more money in your pocket."
The Labour-run Town Council have wasted money on their vanity projects over the last 4 years:
£10,000 on an unnecessary footpath in Tower Hill Cemetary
Tens of thousands on consultancy fees
Bringing Grounds Maintenance in house - leading to a large staffing bill and associated equipment costs
Subsidy the Corn Exchange Cafe which doesn't make a profit
Alternatively, your Conservative Councillors in Witney West HAVE delivered for you over the last few years
Regeneration of Ralegh Crescent Play Area
Planting a new Hedgerow along the Curbridge Road/Thorney Leys - BOOSTING BIODIVERSITY
Delivery of sensible, sustainable estate maintenance in Deer Park and Thorney Leys
Supporting £2500 Grant Funding for the Parish of Witney (Church Group) for the delivery of Youth Services on Windrush Place
£75,000 worth of Community Arts Funding for Windrush Place
Led the delivery of over 50 NEW Allotment Plots on Windrush Place
Campaigning for a NEW Sports Pavilion on Windrush Place alongside TWO FA compliant football pitches
Making STRONG progress to deliver safer walking and cycling routes from Windrush Place to Witney
All of the above has happened in a few years with your hardworking team - can you imagine what more can be delivered in the next four? So, on Thursday 4th May 2023 use your THREE votes for:
Thomas ASHBY
Geoff DOUGTY
Jane DOUGHTY
These are people who work for you all year round, not just at election time.
